Supporting the Equality Act

Diversity at Western Digital gives us our daring, our strength, our advantage. It fuels our innovation. That’s why we are honored to voice our support for the Equality Act.

The Equality Act is a proposed federal legislation that would amend existing civil rights laws to provide full protections for LGBTQ+ employees throughout the US, including anti-discrimination policies by employers at the federal level. Our current policies are consistent with the proposed Equality Act, as we do not condone discrimination and inequality at our workplace.

Our Business Resource Groups serve as a platform for employees to build relationships and connections, foster a sense of belonging and develop ways to support our business. Our seven employee networks include 20 global chapters including groups in India, China, Israel, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines.

All Western Digital BRGs are open to any employee interested in joining.
