Western Digital Store is offering an extended return policy this holiday season. Purchases made starting October 30, 2024 through December 15, 2024 can be returned until January 17, 2025, for most reasons, without exceptions. Contact Western Digital support to determine if your order qualifies, and to begin the process of a return. This policy is subject to exclusions.
Subject to the exclusions below, products purchased online directly from Western Digital can be returned within 30 days from the date of shipment.
Only products that were purchased online directly from Western Digital can be returned. Any products purchased from an authorized reseller must be returned to the reseller and are subject to their respective terms and conditions.
Exclusions: (i) Software once it was made available to you by sending you a link for downloading or a license key via email or other electronic delivery method or for which instructions to download (including from a third-party platform) have been provided to you and (ii) any products which we inform you may not be returned.
To start a return, visit Returns & Cancellations. You will need to provide your email address and order number to get started.
Once your return is submitted, Western Digital will generate a pre-paid shipping label that should be used to ship back your items. Your returned items must be in as-new condition, in the original or similar packaging with the packing slip, with all accessories and manuals included. If the above conditions are not met, your return will be considered incomplete. The package will be returned to you without a refund. We will not accept, or process returns without a valid Return Number. Visit Returns & Cancellations to check the status of your return anytime.
Western Digital must receive the return within 10 days after a Return Number has been issued. The Return Number is valid for 10 days only and will expire on the 11th day after the date of issuance, at which time any returns will be refused.

Refunds are processed once we receive your items, but please allow 7-10 business days for the credit to reflect in your account depending on the financial institution and your original payment method. In most cases, any paid shipping and handling costs will not be refunded. If you successfully cancelled your order but were billed for such order, we initiate your refund immediately. If there are any delays in receiving your credit, please contact Customer Support.
In some cases, Western Digital may require proof or need to confirm additional information prior to processing your refund. Western Digital reserves the right to deny return requests (e.g., product exclusions, breach of our Terms of Sale) at its sole discretion.
Western Digital provides a pre-paid shipping label once your return is submitted. If you decide to use your own shipping label, we will not issue a credit for costs incurred in shipping a returned item and will not be responsible for items lost in transit or unsigned proof of delivery to our returns processing center. This may also delay your refund.
Items should be returned in as-new condition, in original packaging with the packing slip, all warranty cards, UPC tags, manuals and accessories in the original shipping carton or similar packaging. Failure to return all original merchandise with accompanying accessories and materials will result in the product being returned without credit and at the expense of the customer. If you ordered a bare drive, you must return it in the same box with the drive seated in the plastic endcaps to protect it during transit.
EMEA
Shipped items that are either refused by the customer or cannot be delivered by the carrier, will be returned to Western Digital and you will be refunded the price you paid in respect of your order if you paid in advance. However, we will not refund you your shipping costs unless the item is defective, misdescribed or non-conforming or unless you chose the least expensive means of shipment. Please allow 7-10 business days for a credit to be issued.
Products purchased from an authorized reseller may be returned to the reseller and are subject to the terms and conditions of the reseller. Contact the reseller directly for return instructions.
