Important information regarding Cloud backup with Dropbox

Due to changes in the Dropbox API requirements, the Dropbox Cloud backup included in WD SmartWare Pro is no longer supported and the WD SmartWare Pro backup software is no longer available for trial or purchase. On September 28, 2017, Dropbox will disable access to version 1.0 of the Dropbox API for WD SmartWare Pro. After September 28, 2017 you will not be able to access the Dropbox Cloud with WD SmartWare Pro.

Accordingly, all descriptions of the Dropbox features in the documentation are only for historical reference.  

Existing WD SmartWare Pro customers can access their content by logging into their Dropbox account. How to Access WD SmartWare Pro Dropbox Backups

You can also download WD Backup™ software to backup content to select WD drives or to a cloud storage location like Dropbox.
